Octopussy (1983)

A man in a clown suit -- 009 in disguise -- had gatecrashed an embassy party and died, a knife in his back... Clutched in his hand was a Faberge egg. MI6 discovered that this priceless jewel was a clever fake, and that another was to be sold at auction.
